A vibrant, textural “orange” hugging style wine with apricot, honeyed citrus, gingery spice and a lively tannic grip. Made to challenge convention and stimulate the palate.
From Aussie mavericks Unico Zelo in the Adelaide Hills, the Esoterico 2022 is a wild blend of Fiano, Zibibbo, Moscato Giallo, Greco and Gewürztraminer (among others) grown on ancient limestone soils. Fermented with minimal intervention, no filtration or fining and bottled with very low sulphur, it’s a serious cult favourite among natural-wine fans.
Bold, unconventional, highly drinkable and endlessly intriguing.
