Deep and savoury aromas of aniseed, clove and sweet, alongside lifted dark berry perfume. On the palate the wine is intense and detailed, driven by dark cherry and blood plum, and framed by fine, silky tannins.

Southern Light Vineyards is a new-wave estate founded by the team behind Joval Wine Group, centred in Healesville and sourcing from four distinct Yarra Valley sites. Their no-compromise, small-batch approach focuses on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir but this release shows they handle detailed, savoury red styles with equal finesse.
