The wine
Bright and mineral-driven with lemon zest, white peach and nectarine, layered with subtle hazelnut and flinty notes. A touch of well-integrated oak adds texture and breadth, finishing long, saline and beautifully precise.

The vineyard
From the cool Waitaki Valley in North Otago, where limestone-rich soils and a marginal climate create Chardonnays of tension and minerality. Long, slow ripening preserves natural acidity while careful, restrained winemaking keeps the focus on purity and site.

Why we love it
Elegant, Burgundian-leaning Chardonnay with real finesse and structure. A standout New Zealand expression of the variety, drinking beautifully now but capable of developing further complexity with a few years in the cellar.
