The wine

The palate is supple and precise with bright red fruit, fine tannins and a fresh mineral line, finishing with real elegance and energy. Critics and merchants describe the 2023 as lively, cool-fruited and saline, with strong precision for the level.

The vineyard
From the elevated slopes of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, including newer parcels acquired by Sébastien Cathiard above Nuits-St-Georges, where higher altitude and cooler conditions help preserve acidity and freshness in warmer vintages. Those sites have become increasingly prized for their cooler fruit profile and natural tension.

Why we love it
This is exactly the kind of Burgundy that overdelivers: fragrant, fine-boned and very drinkable, but with proper Cathiard polish. It has the charm to drink young and enough structure to reward a few years in the cellar.
